Description
Open Space Technology is effective when real learning, innovation, and departure from the norm is required. When you aren't quite sure where you are, less than clear about where you are headed, and require the best thinking and support from all those who wish to be involved, Open Space Technology can provide the means. An Open Space event has no pre-determined agenda, however it does have an overall framework that creates a supportive environment in which the participants themselves determine what to do and when. What better approach by which to allow GOOD Network Members to delve into addressing the key topics for this meeting; namely,
How Can OD Take a Leading Role in Organizations Today?
How Do We Position Our Discipline for the Future?
As you experience the process and techniques used in Open Space Technology, you will find yourself in a highly interactive and experiential situation that will allow you to learn more and delve deeper into the topic at hand. The nature of Open Space Technology process means the structure and direction of the meeting is, by design, fluid and evolving.
Our direction will depend on your level of interest and willingness to participate in an unstructured event where each attendee acts as the owners and directors of both the individual and collective experience.
There are Four Principles that serve as guides to the facilitators and all participants.
1. Whoever comes are the right people.
2. Whatever happens is the only thing that could have.
3. Whenever it starts is the right time.
4. When it is over, it is over.
Hopefully your taste buds have been tantalized and you will join us for a morning of learning and exploration! You’ll not only learn more about the topic at hand, but experience a valuable process that you can use to produce large scale change in your organization.
